Searching hope

There walked a man
Searching, looking, digging
No-one saw him
No-one knew him

Wandering he walked
Roaming, striding, dragging
In woods, cities, mind
East, west, in between

Noticing did non'
Caring they wouldn't
Minding there own
Looking at their nose

He got a hole
Not physical hole
Sucking sanity
Growing slowly mad

Time, space, people
No longer matters
With one eye fixed
Eying only one thing

What is lost remains so
With a blind mans hope
Stumbling from rock to leaf
He knows nothing

Not what to be found
Not what is lost
Not how to look
Not how to stop

But he got hope
That it all might end
Suddenly it shall
With a boom of silence

From his heart 'n soul

My Guardian

He watches over me
Looks after me
He is my shield and charm
Brings me luck, and keeps harm away

He is of my kind
I'm of his blood
It runs strong through my veins
Burning and keeping me warm

Even the saddest thought of him
Brings me up, fills me with hope
Hope of a brighter tomorrow
Hope of love reigning supreme

Now I walk his path
The path I only glimpsed
When he showed it to me
When he himself walked

It twists and twirls
Full of struggles and hardship
It is, and power it brings
Hardening me for the troubles of life

I thank him
For what he showed me
Although I couldn't grasp
Comprehend it's full extension

But the joy it brings
Not a moment I want to be
Without his touch, his guidance
That glimpse between the trees.

Care for your next
Like a guardian
Like mine care for me
With love and foresight

Care for yours
As if it were the last
Good deed of man
The last tribute to the guardian

Guardian that keeps you warm, brings you luck

Shades of gray

This world of ours, were so full of colors
Sparkling with its green and blue
Life dancing where ever you looked
Before, all around us there was life

We marched, stomped all over it
Like an unknowing child in a spring garden
Because we didn't know better, didn't see
didn't grasp the full length of our actions

All over this living world of ours
We are pouring concrete and asphalt
Steel and glass is dominating the world
transforming it into shades of gray

But fear not for the earth's health
It is fighting back, always finding a way
Puzzling us with it ingenuity
It's will to survive, recover from all disasters

It is us who we should worry about
Destroying ourself, taunting Mother
With our garden stomping
Take care, soon you'll hit her favorite

Then all hell is loose
Striking back so fast
With such a strength
That we are left stunned

Don't save the planet
It will save itself in the end
Save us, from ourself
Before all goes from shades of gray

To stunning darkness..

Hunger

We all need it
We all long for it
We all strive to get it

The lack of it leaves us trembling
Without it, we barely stand upright
Staggering from place to place

The hunger for it can drive you mad
Leaves you like a sobbing hump
Mumbling that all is lost

The Quest for the perfect one
Is long and full of twists and turns
Often taking you to the beginning

Everyone of us have your match
Somewhere out there
Waiting to be found

When you gaze upon yours
Don't let go, don't leave
Never give up hope

Give yourself in heart'n soul
Give your innermost secrets
Give in one and all

Then you are hungry no more
Appreciate it, rest easy
As long as thoughts stand
You are each others

Love will prevail, always finding a way!
